Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is a cornerstone of CMT care, supporting mobility, strength, balance, and independence throughout all stages of the disease.
Individualized rehabilitation programs may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, gait training, and assistive device support. The primary goals are to maintain functional capacity, prevent secondary complications, and enable individuals to adapt safely to progressive changes.
ECRA advocates for early and continuous rehabilitation as part of comprehensive CMT management. Access to specialized rehabilitation services empowers individuals not only physically, but also psychologically—reinforcing autonomy, confidence, and quality of life.
